"Currently in residency at the q-o2 workspace are Sarah Hughes and Patrick Farmer, visual/sound artists from (at the moment) Oxford. They unfold a vivid explorational creativity involving field recordings, plants, objects and instumental sounds, feedback, and scores of other composers, all starting from the spatial surrounding. Their curiosity leads them to many collaborations with other artists, although this is surprisingly the first time they are developing a duo work. For the last days of their residency they have invited Kostis Kilymis, a greek electronic musician who runs the label ‘organised music from Thessaloniki’.
Sarah and Patrick also run a label, the well thought ‘Compost and Height’, which has existed since 2008 and started as an alternative to organising live events which, as they state, became difficult when they went to live in London. The label offers a platform for artists to disseminate their work – this consists mainly of audio downloads, cd releases, various projects and the publication Wolf Notes." - Julia Eckhardt
